St. Clair High School History

Our school was built in 1960 and for the most part, remained unchanged until 1979 when there was a pool added along with some classroom additions as well. In 1990 there were six new classrooms and and a  guidance complex that were added.

The picture on the left represents our school when we graduated in 1978. This is actually a picture circa 1960’s. Thanks go out to current principal Ronald Miller who was kind enough to dig this photo out of the archives for the reunion committee to include on this website. If anyone has any other vintage related photos of the school from back around our graduation era, please feel free to contact us and we can work to get them included in our school history page.

The school remained pretty much status-quo until the school entered into a major renovation in 2000-2001. This renovation included a 40,000 square foot addition, that featured a new cafeteria/ kitchen, counseling suite, teaching areas, instrumental/vocal music complex, 2 art rooms, 2 science/lab classrooms, and 3 math classrooms. Other renovations included a weight room and team room, significant interior renovations, and technology improvements including the entire building wired for voice, video, and data transmission.Who knows what the future will bring.

The school has come a long way since our graduation as you can see from the photos on the left, but the changes are definitely for the better because it shows that St. Clair High School continues to grow and prosper over time. We look forward to many continued years of this growth.
